Multi-tenant Redis & PostgreSQL, re-architected

Tenants were locked into Azure Cache for Redis and shared one PostgreSQL server, so applications could not be isolated from each other.

  • Designed a multi-tenant Azure Managed Redis platform with active-active geo-replication, giving clients a migration path off Azure Cache for Redis.
  • Re-architected PostgreSQL provisioning into one server per application, migrating all existing state in place.

High metric cardinality slowed dashboards down, and incident alerts had no common standard across teams and customers.

About

I design and run Kubernetes platforms for production-critical, regulated environments, with multi-tenant managed hosting on AKS as my current focus. My principle is reliability by design, not by rescue: security, operability and resilience are built in from the start, not bolted on after the first incident.

I moved into cloud in 2021 from an engineering background, with a dual Master's from AGH Kraków and IST Lisboa. I mentor junior engineers, run internal knowledge-sharing sessions, and work fluently in English and French.
